Track 5: Bullet Hits the Bone
Release Date: 26 May 2013
Session 15

RECAP:
- The heroes decided that although Val VanVeen’s life is in danger, their secretary Jeanine’s life is in greater peril. If the Geuns wanted to kill VanVeen, they would have already. Speeding to the offices of Dune Investigations, the group finds one of the Geun brothers ransacking the file room. He is looking for something, but they never discover exactly what it was he came for.
- Standing guard was Spike’s girlfriend (and cousin) Kytten and their Odiomancer friend Stan Graff, who do their level best to delay the group until Geun was finished ransacking the place. Kytten and Fee had it out, and Kytten tried to feed off Fee’s emotions. Unfortunately, Eva Dune and her friends didn’t take kindly to the intrusion, and swiftly took out both of Geun’s accomplices. Stan had been using a ritual to suppress glamers, and was hiding in a cubicle that had been hastily spray painted with arcane symbols. Kytten was taken out, severely beaten. Stan got shot in the ass and was left unconscious. Unfortunately, while everyone was dealing with the greater threat of the VERY supernatural Geun, Stan revived and snuck out of the building, and is still at large.
- The fight with Geun went poorly, for Geun. The office became a complete wreckage, and Geun used everything he could throw, including the investigation office’s computer processors and furniture. In the end, a hole was knocked out of the side of the building and Geun used it for an escape attempt – jumping from the second story and landing on the street, right in front of a busload of children who were on a tour of Sutter’s Fort. A violent and bloody fight next took place on the street, and when the dust cleared, Geun was dead – his body erupting into flames shortly after he was shot, point blank, in the head.
- Jeanine was safe, having been tied up and left in an office. But the team now had to save VanVeen. They sped across town toward the warehouse Dylan had seen in his vision, and when they arrived they were greeted with wild prejudice. Gunfire filled the abandoned car painting establishment being protected by young and inexperienced thugs, most of whom quickly fled, as such punks do.
- The second Geun brother put up little fight, choosing instead to flee out the back and disappear. VanVeen was safe, and when all was over and done with, she clung to Michael for support. It is clear to all that Val and Michael are now an item.
- After the fight, the investigation team were eager to question Kytten, the only person able to be interrogated. She had suffered a crushed tailbone, bruised ribs and had floated in and out of consciousness for a few days. When she came to and was able to be questioned, the team treated her fairly and with gentle composure. Kytten willingly ratted out her boyfriend, Spike, saying that he was the one calling the shots. He had some sort of arrangement with the Geun brothers, and they in turn had the Oak Park Bloods thinking they were working for Gaston Neahr.
- Michael paid a visit to Reginald Park, Spike’s father (details TBA because I need to confer with my players – my memory sucks)
I currently don’t have much time to write full recaps of the sessions. I will add important items under the SESSION NOTES section below.

PREVIOUS CONSEQUENCES
Alex: Severe Physical: Still in recovery: STUCK IN THIS CAST (ongoing)
Alex: Moderate Mental: Insomnia – Took the consequence while casting a ritual.
Fee: Moderate Mental: Irritable – Earned as a result of Kytten Fox’s attempt to kill Fee by feeding off of her teenage discord.
Alex: Significant Milestone
Dylan: Significant Milestone
Michael: Significant Milestone
Eva: Significant Milestone
Fee: Significant Milestone
The significant milestone is earned for eliminating one of the Geun brothers, driving the other off, rescuing VanVeen, and in the aftermath of the adventure – consoling Kytten, treating her with harmony and kindness, thereby granting her the chance to change and become human. She was very close to becoming a full White Court Vampire.
